Bailey Wilson
Bailey was born and raised in Memphis, TN. As a member of a very active family, she grew up playing sports year round including soccer, track, swimming, and horseback riding. Bailey graduated from the University of Virginia, where she studied Civil Engineering, ran, and played intramural sports. As she developed her running and sprinting, Bailey set goals to run a half marathon and the Charlottesville 10 miler by the time she graduated, yet by the middle of her junior year at UVA, she had done neither.
A few months after SEAL Team PT was started in Charlottesville, a friend invited her to a "bring a friend day" in the snow. After the sled-relay-race workout in heavy snow, she was intrigued and joined Class 10 shortly after in April 2010. At the end of the two week Basic Fitness Class, she was impressed with her improvements and decided it was time to run the a sprint triathlon, the Richmond Half Marathon and Charlottesville 10 miler. By the time she graduated, she had done all three.
Bailey moved to DC in September 2011 to work as an Engineer. She has loved getting to know all the DC members and the epic workout locations. Her favorite part about SEAL Team PT is the balance between the competitiveness and supportiveness of the membership. You can find Bailey leading her favorite exercises: incline sit-ups, sprints, and crab soccer crawls. She hopes to continue to improve, run a marathon, and improve in helping others have fun, effective workouts that will get them into the best shape of their life.
